In 2023, Aisha Knowles was named the Assembly District 20 Woman of the Year by Assemblymember Liz Ortega for her community volunteerism, advocacy, and "herstory" making actions.
Service Above Self
Since 2012, Aisha Knowles has participated in volunteer Rotary international service projects in Guatemala and Honduras, supporting teams that perform cleft lip and cleft palate surgeries, and the development of a school in a remote village.

Since 2022, Aisha Knowles has sponsored and supported the annual holiday community event, Santa at the Fire House, as a volunteer and as Mrs.Claus, helping with event logistics, providing cookies and hot chocolate, and sharing one of her favorite books, The Truth About Mrs. Claus!
