Serving you on the Alameda County Board of Education since 2012 has been an honor. Born and raised in Alameda County, and the product of local public schools, I take pride in being an active trustee and community member. Over more than two decades in public service, I’ve advanced solutions addressing the needs of our schools and community, supporting working families, and prioritizing safe schools.

As your trustee, I’ve worked hard to ensure high-quality educational opportunities for all students. As President of the Alameda County School Boards Association, I collaborated with stakeholders throughout the county to strengthen public education. A three-time Alameda County Board of Education President, I've ensured that the voices of our students, families, staff, and educators were heard locally and statewide.

Having championed countywide initiatives to promote student success, fiscal responsibility, and educational equity, I’ll remain focused on addressing your key priorities: delivering quality services amid declining enrollment; teacher and paraprofessional recruitment, training, and retention programs; mental health supports; and safe and inclusive school environments.

I’m proud to have the support of the California Teachers Association and the Alameda County Supervisors representing our local school districts, Nate Miley, Lena Tam, and Elisa Márquez. I would be honored to once again earn your vote.
